Why I’m Running
I am running for Assessor because I believe this office works best when it is led by someone who truly understands the work from experience.

Over the last decade, I have worked my way up through the Assessor’s Office, holding most of the jobs that make the department run. I know what it means to enter data accurately, to appraise properties fairly, to explain values to taxpayers, and to defend those values when they are challenged. Today, as a member of the management team, I help guide the office, and I want to lead it into its next chapter.
Some of the best leaders I have worked with were the ones who started at the bottom and moved up. Having a manager who has done your job and understands the pressures, the details, and the responsibility makes a real difference. I want to be that kind of leader for this office.
The parallel I often think about comes from my time playing soccer. I have been a player, and I have been a coach. And sometimes, the best coach is someone who has played the game. Someone who knows what it feels like on the field, who understands the decisions being made in real time, and who can guide a team because they have lived it themselves. The Assessor’s Office is no different. Having held the roles inside the office gives me the perspective to lead effectively.
I am also focused on the future. In my current role managing the office’s appraisal and tax software, I work daily with the systems that shape how values are created and communicated. I am actively involved in evaluating new technologies and tools that can make our work more accurate, more equitable, and more transparent. I believe we can modernize the office while maintaining fairness, accountability, and trust.
Just as importantly, I believe in clear communication with taxpayers. I have spent years fielding phone calls and emails from people who have questions or concerns about their property values. People don’t just want a number. They want to understand how and why that value was determined. They want to know the story behind it. I have spent my career answering those questions, explaining the process, and helping people understand what the Assessor’s Office does and why it does it.
I am running because I care deeply about this work, this office, and the community it serves. I believe my experience, leadership, and vision uniquely position me to lead the Assessor’s Office into the future.
